In a recent discussion I was asked:
- 'Are you conscious that you’ve been moving through different roles and every 2 years you changed roles? Was this intentional?'
These questions sounded quite familiar, so I answered quite fast:
- ‘Yes, I am this way. I love new challenges. I love the beginnings. I love building and learning…’ (blah, blah….the answers sounded old, overused in my head).
These are the first thoughts that my mind usually brings forward. And there’s some truth in all these. And yet, as they say - if the answer comes too easy, it usually it is not the complete answer..
Once I reflected on this, in search of the complete answer, my mind stopped on my favorite piece from Brancusi: La timidite (Timiditatea). I name it The Innocence. For years, I came back to Paris to Brancusi’s Atelier and felt home when I had my moment with La Timidite… And only now it occurred to me, what this piece was saying to me all these years. It was and it is my true WHY- the Innocence!
I love Innocence. It is with Innocence that I approach all new roles, new projects, new challenges. I always search the new, the unknown because I know that I feel best when I don’t know. I enjoy searching for the real value in a business. This Innocence is my power!
It helps me not to go with the formula or with the way how it's done here… This innocence helps me dance with Zoom in/ Zoom out on a problem and see the essence….
It is funny, my heart beats very fast, as I write these lines…. it surely is something strong behind the Innocence.
My WHY is this:
I approach with Innocence any challenge to find the BIG opportunity!
Thank you Brancusi, for this AHA!
Now, back to you - the creator (the entrepreneur):
What is your WHY?
What makes you ‘tick’?
What makes you feel the goose bumps?
What makes your eyes light up with fire?
